fter he's out of our bed that is..then again my sister Jess and I kid that she made two out of three nurseries just for her grown up friends and family to "ohhh" and "ahhh" about. So we'll see what happens. After all I cannot imagine waking up and not smelling Asher's sweet breath on my cheek and feeling his miniature hand continually reaching for me. I digress.
So for baby A's room I found the spindle crib on CL for $40 and the dresser at GW for $30. After five rolls of tape..Ok, maybe only one but holy moly taping the base of a circle (the spindles) takes ALOT of time!!
I left the base of the crib white and painted every other spindle with a whipped up batch of either grey or turquoisy blue. The grey paint was a mistint from my local Habitat Restore ($3-$4 a gallon!!) that I lightened with white paint and the blue was leftover from another project. After taping and striping the dresser I distressed both pieces and gave a coat of verathane.
Here is Asher's postage size room! Literally its like 6'x9' which makes it perfect for his little nursery. It is not complete yet (bad mommy!)Jess is making his name to hang on the wooden beach house hanger that I found at HomeGoods. I also need a new lampshade and a piece of art in the corner. Here's what I have so far.
And here's my precious angel not sleeping in his great new crib!! Ha!
